Challenge
Prior to becoming an Artlogic client, Marian Goodman Gallery experienced a challenge when it came to workflow between locations, because they were not using a cloud-based system, which sometimes made information sharing slow and out-of-sync: “we were not using a cloud based solution and it was inhibiting workflow between our international locations.”
With multiple galleries in locations worldwide, it was vital that the gallery had a system that could update gallery staff and collectors in real-time, eradicating issues like out-of-date information and data duplicates.

Solution
Having considered several solutions, Marian Goodman Gallery found that Artlogic was the most comprehensive solution for the specific needs of the business: “We met with a number of companies offering art database solutions, but we decided Artlogic was ultimately the best choice for us.”
Now a client of seven years, Marian Goodman Gallery makes full use of the Artlogic’s Gallery Management, Website, and Private Views products. To maximize the impact of the solutions, the gallery also has a dedicated account manager from Artlogic who works with the team, tailoring their use of the system to suit the gallery’s exacting needs.
The integrated, transparent aspect of Artlogic has facilitated a new era of efficiency for the global operation: “We were drawn to a number of things, perhaps the most important being that Artlogic offered a way to connect our website to the database to the sales tools our team uses.”
Marian Goodman’s website was built by Artlogic’s in-house Design Studio. Since its launch, it has helped the team at the gallery create stunning online exhibitions to generate engagement and forge deeper connections with their collector audience.

Results
Marian Goodman Gallery is long-established, with many clients and artists an associated wealth of data needs to be stored, accessed, and organized in an orderly manner for operations to remain efficient. For Marian Goodman Gallery, “Artlogic has helped us to centralize a lot of information that was previously dispersed in various places.”
“Overall Artlogic has helped to minimize a lot of wasted time for our staff. We were able to eliminate a lot of double entries by connecting our artwork inventory to our website and sales app. Running various reports, as well as client-facing documents became more streamlined.”
“We have certainly saved time” says Alena Marchak, Director at Marian Goodman Gallery: which is a huge benefit to the team, allowing them to focus upon expanding the growing roster of artists. Now, high-pressure moments such as a gallery relocation or an art fair are facilitated by Artlogic, allowing the team at Marian Goodan Gallery to focus on what they do best: supporting their artists and the work they do.
