    Operating a solo artist studio in rural West Wales could, for some, be deemed a lonesome business. But for artist Helen Booth, Artlogic is “like having a studio assistant working in the background!” 

    Having moved from London to Wales in 1996, Booth has been a full-time practicing artist for almost 40 years. As a contemporary abstract painter, she’s always on the lookout to create more time with her works and, with the help of Artlogic, she’s achieved just that: “Artlogic has given me back valuable hours in the studio.”

    Now an Artlogic client of over two years, Booth shares her Artlogic story, teaching us how to carve out more hours in the day, and what it’s like to elevate a studio using tech.

    Having struggled to find a website platform that suited her needs as an artist, Booth’s admiration for the minimalism of gallery sites drew her to Artlogic: “It was the gallery websites that I admired for their minimal, slick, and easily navigable design, and they were all using Artlogic.”

    Prior to moving to Artlogic, Booth’s website “lacked visual elegance” and needed additional apps to function, leading to a challenge when it came to managing both the business and portfolio: “I was juggling multiple platforms like Google Sheets, Artwork Archive, and Art Galleria, yet none of these apps were compatible, and the extra admin was taking up too much studio time. It became clear that I needed a streamlined solution, and that’s when Artlogic really stood out as the answer.”

    Finding Artlogic to be the perfect way to organize and present available pieces, Booth now uses her Artlogic website to display works as a cohesive collection, and her database inventory to maintain her ever-growing portfolio.

    When it came to onboarding to the new platform, “it was the excellent customer service and ability to actually chat with a real person” that made all the difference.

    Making life easier for Booth, Artlogic allows her to compile comprehensive portfolios via Private View Links, without the need for cumbersome PDFs or time consuming meetings. For example, her solo exhibition with Oriel Davies meant liaising on the show’s works with the curator. Having entered each piece into her database inventory upon completion, it was easy to share images with the curator to refine the selection digitally, saving hours of driving and hundreds in shipping: “moving such large pieces back and forth to show the curator would have been both costly and time-consuming.”
