Artlogic Media Limited (together with its affiliated companies, ‘Artlogic’) is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of our customers and users. This notice sets out how we collect and use your personal information.
Artlogic may be a data controller responsible for deciding how your information is processed, or a data processor acting on the instructions of another controller. We are usually a data processor for customers of Artlogic products, and our Data Processing Addendum applies to our processing for those customers. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the content processed, stored or hosted by our customers using any Artlogic product, where the customer’s own privacy policy will apply.
1. Information we collect about you
We may collect and process the following types of information about you:

information about you when you attend our events, which may include your name, email address, registration token number, information on the sessions you attend and other session metrics.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use certain Artlogic products, we may automatically collect the following information:

technical information, including your traffic source, the IP address used to connect your computer to the internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.

information about your visit, including the full URL clickstream to, through and from our website; products you viewed or searched for; page response times, visit lengths and errors; page interaction information (e.g. scrolling, clicks, mouse-overs, how you left the page); in-product interaction and usage information (such as clicks, page views, feature usage and navigation paths); attribution and campaign data, including UTM parameters and referring sources used to reach our website, chatbot interactions and message logs; and any phone number used to call our customer service.

Where required by law, we collect and use this information based on your consent (for example, via cookie or tracking preferences).

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from third parties we work with, including, for example, business partners, galleries, brokers, sub-contractors, payment and delivery services, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies and data sourcing and enrichment services. This may include engagement or usage information from connected tools or integrations where you choose to link them with our services.
2. How we use your information
We use your information in the ways explained in this section. Our legal bases for processing your information include (i) entering into or performing contracts with you, (ii) our legitimate interests (including ensuring network and information security, and improving and marketing our services and products), (iii) complying with legal obligations and (iv) (in certain cases) your consent (including through cookie or tracking preferences).
Where appropriate on these bases, we may associate product usage information with your user account (for example, name, email address and account ID) in order to understand usage and improve our products.

We use this information to ensure network and information security, to improve business performance by better understanding customer and market needs, to offer similar services or products to those that you may have enquired about or bought from us, and other purposes set out above. We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you.
3. When we may disclose your information to others
We may share your information with other companies in our group in relation to processing activities described above.
We may share your information with selected third parties who support our business, including:

business partners and suppliers to support the performance of a contract with you or our services generally, including event and webinar service providers and customer relationship management platforms that assist us in managing registrations

providers of cloud, artificial intelligence and other IT services used in our business, including customer relations management service providers who we use to manage your data (please see our list of sub-processors used to provide our services)

analytics, search engine and other providers who assist in the improvement and optimisation of our website or products

credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you

organisations assisting with fraud protection and credit risk reduction

product analytics and user engagement services, to help us understand how our website and products are used, improve product performance, and deliver in-product messages.
We may also disclose your information to third parties in certain other situations:

4. Where we process your information
Artlogic is based in the UK and US. Your information may be transferred to, processed in and/or stored in locations in these countries, the European Economic Area ("EEA") or outside the EEA.
Whenever we transfer personal information to other jurisdictions, we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the information is transferred in accordance with this Privacy Notice. If information is transferred to a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection for personal information (including under UK and EU GDPR), we will take appropriate measures to protect the data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
5. Security and retention of your information
We use appropriate technical, organisational, and administrative measures to protect information that we process and store from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, and alteration. All payment transactions are encrypted. Where we export or analyse information outside of our core systems (for example, in spreadsheets), we take steps to ensure this information is handled securely.
We keep your information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes it was collected for. The length of time we retain your information is determined by operational and legal considerations and best practice.
You are responsible for protecting passwords and other credentials used to access our services. We ask you not to share passwords and other security credentials with anyone.
The internet and IT systems are not completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to our website or services: any transmission is at your own risk. We protect your information that we hold using the measures explained above.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking appropriate boxes on the forms we use to collect your data.
Where we rely on your consent for the processing of your information (for example, through cookies or similar technologies), you can withdraw that consent at any time (e.g. through the relevant cookie or tracking preference controls).
You may opt out at any time from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by submitting a request to data-protection@artlogic.net.
You also may have other rights under UK, EU and other data protection law, including (and subject to certain limitations):

Our website contains links to and from the websites of our partners and other third parties. We do not accept responsibility for processing of your information by these other entities. Please check the privacy policies of other entities before you provide information to them.

Any changes we may make to this Privacy Notice will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
