August has been a month of thoughtful updates, bringing smoother workflows, sharper features, and clever new tools designed to make your experience with Artlogic even more powerful.
New and Improved Features
- New 'Book Value' Fields in Artworks Imports

- Contact Letter Salutation
We’ve improved how the salutation is handled when using the “Letter” option in the contact sidebar. The system will now use the contact's custom Salutation if one is provided, and only fall back to “Dear” if it’s left blank - giving you more control over how your messages begin.
- Renamed Column in Artworks Export
The column previously labeled “Insurance Value” is now renamed to “Agreed Insurance Value”. It will display the value entered in the "Agreed value" field and remain blank if the artwork is set to calculate insurance automatically. This update better reflects the data being shown.
- Improved Sorting Logic
We've updated the logic when sorting artworks by the field “Artists reference no” from alphabetical to numerical. The field can be given a different name in Core Preferences > Artworks to suit your needs.
Updates and Fixes
- Dimensions Calculator Formatting
Fixed an issue where custom format strings (e.g. %(cms)s cm; (%(ins)s in.) weren’t displaying correctly. Semicolon separators are now recognized. - Artsy Integration – Edition Records
Ensures editioned artworks include required edition_set data on export, preventing price and dimension data from being lost in the Artsy CMS. If "Create edition set" is unchecked, only the current record is sent. - Special Characters in Artsy Sync
Resolved an issue where non-UTF-8 characters could break the “Connect artworks from Artsy” screen. Special characters are now handled correctly. - 'On Consignment' Import for Artist Accounts
'On consignment' fields now import correctly into Artist accounts when "Allow all statuses" (beta) is enabled. - Stock Number Auto-Generation
Resolved an edge case where hidden stock number fields prevented the “Get next highest stock number” tool from working as expected. - Auction History Export Formatting
Improved formatting in the "Auction History" column of artwork exports - replacing hidden characters with readable commas and semicolons.
New and Improved Features
- Beta Feature: Improved Email Threading for Private Views Enquiries
We've listened to feedback and updated the subject line of gallery-facing Private View enquiry emails to include the collector’s name e.g., "Private View Enquiry – Jane Smith". This ensures each enquiry starts a separate email thread, making it easier to manage responses. Find out more about this Beta feature here.
- Artwork ID now included in Sales Pipeline Export
We’ve added a new column to the “Offered Artworks” tab of the Sales Pipeline export, displaying the unique ID of each artwork in the offer. This intends to better support galleries managing large inventories or when cross-referencing data in external systems.
Updates and Fixes
- Sales Pipeline Status Errors
Fixed a bug where an error message appeared when changing offer statuses - updates were saved but the error was misleading. This message no longer appears. - Client VAT Number on Invoices
The "Client VAT number" now only displays on invoices if the relevant core setting is enabled. - Missing Chart Titles in Insights
Sales Pipeline Insights charts now display titles correctly for clearer data interpretation. - Contact Link in Sales Pipeline
Clicking the contact icon in Sales Pipeline enquiries now correctly links to the associated contact record.
New and Improved Features
- Nexus City Support for U.S. Sales Tax
The CMS now supports adding multiple nexus cities and a home city address, enabling accurate automatic tax calculations via TaxJar for U.S. sales.
- Google Analytics Self-Serve in Website Launch Guide
We've made it even easier to get set up with Google Analytics by updating the “After Launch” section of the Website Launch Guide with a self-serve functionality. Previously, clients were advised to contact Artlogic for setup - this is no longer required.
- Improved Grid Layout Handling in CMS
The CMS now preserves the layout of content grids even when images haven’t been uploaded yet - making it easier to build pages without disrupting the design.
Updates and Fixes
- Artist & Exhibition Page Spacing
Empty sub-navigation on Artist and Exhibition pages is now hidden automatically, removing unwanted page spacing. - Google Analytics Consent Updates
Fixed an issue where consent settings were being applied multiple times. Tracking now works as expected without duplication. - Missing Currency Symbol in Online Sales
Resolved an issue where currency symbols were missing on artworks enabled for online sales. Symbols now display correctly across listings. - Open Graph Images on Artist Pages
Fixed a bug where incorrect Open Graph images could appear on Artist pages. Previews now display the correct image in search results and link shares. - Art Fair Record Links
Links to Art Fair records now correctly open the detail page, not the uploaded PDF, when no text content is included. The PDF remains accessible from the detail page.
Updates and Fixes
- Contacts Synced to the App
An issue that was preventing contacts from being reliably synced to the app has been fixed.
