About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised full-time Accounts Assistant to work in our Finance Department. This junior role has an initial contract of 6 months, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone to start or continue their career in accounting and finance, with built-in learning and mentorship opportunities in a fast-growing SaaS company serving an exciting industry: fine art!

 
About you
  • Has started Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Accounting Qualifications, or equivalent. Level 2 or higher is a plus

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Entry-level accountancy and basic bookkeeping skills

  • A working knowledge of accounting software is a plus (NetSuite familiarity is also a major plus)

  • Basic understanding of financial systems and processes

  • The ability to function well in a team

  • A high degree of computer literacy, familiarity with Mac OSX and Google Suite and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel. 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Key responsibilities
  • Handling accounts receivable collections and allocating customer payments

  • Accounts Receivable: Drive collections and increase adoption of auto payments

  • Accounts payable: Scan, capture and record monthly direct debits and make payments

  • Helping to complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations

  • Assisting with processing vendor bills for approval and payment

  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties

  • Helping to manage day to day account receivable queries 

  • Corresponding with clients and resolving finance enquiries concerning billing and payment questions (through Zendesk)

  • Corresponding with the internal Client Liaison team to communicate financial and account information and help them make adjustments to client accounts

Our London office is based within a converted warehouse complex shared with a handful of other friendly creative organisations and a top-notch canteen.
